The history of IDeACOM Healthcare Communications of Florida, Inc. began when Roland Chamberlain founded the company in 1947 as Chamberlain Audio Products, Inc. Audio and intercom systems were engineered, designed and installed for users' applications in the Tampa Bay Area. In 1950, the company became one of the first distributors for Executone Inc. At that time, the company name was changed to Executone West Central Florida, Inc.

In 1975, Don Musselman an Executone employee dating back to 1957, purchased 100% of the company stock from Mr. Chamberlain. Mr. Musselman embarked on aggressive sales and marketing plan, which took sales revenues from $600,000 in 1975 to over $5 million annually. The primary reasons for this success story are the quality of service, and the employee commitment to our customers, traits that have always led to successful companies.
